Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

Built in the early 1800's, this four block historical landmark was originally the city's grocery store. Today, the City Market is home to a variety of local vendors that sell their art, crafts, and local wares.

Faith was an excellent tour guide- she had a ton of historical information and knew everything there is to know about food. She was very professional and helpful- she gave us lots of advice about great restaurants to try around town that specialized in various food we were interested in. We really couldn't have asked for a better guide.

The food tour was delicious and Blake was an awesome guide. His knowledge of the city and passion for food made the experience that much more enjoyable.

Blake was fun and knowledgeable! I didn’t realize how much history we’d be getting on a food tour. Blake has a lot of life experiences to offer as well….including great cooking acumen! I would definitely go again! The only thing I would suggest would be having either a sweet or savory option at Handy and Hot. Amazing little eatery, but I’m not a huge fan of sweets in general. Going there for breakfast this morning actually!
