Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview
Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

The hospitality was great. They let us know ahead of time when the destination where we would be doing our horseback riding changed. The place was easy to find and the guide Thomas was knowledgeable of the area. He played an instrument as we went on the trails which made the experience even more memorable and gave us a good tour of the area when we returned. Would definitely recommend 100%.

4 star- The tack was adequate, Thomas was knowledgeable, the horses were typical trail animals. It was an adventure because the trails weren’t broken and appropriately marked and cleared. The toilet facility was a public outhouse with no toilet paper. The dirt road was deeply rutted and some drivers may find it difficult to navigate. We are both experienced riders and found the experience an adventure. Novice riders would likely struggle on the unmarked trails.

The horse that I was on, did not obey commands, it would leave the line on several occasions. Jerk it’s head and blow with agitation when neck reigned. Started galloping downhill very fast. Wrangler was not within close enough distance for me to feel safe. When I told him I wanted to get off, he replied ā€œit’s not the horseā€
