Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

Being a first time horse rider I was a little nervous at first but the guides we're really helpful in getting me set up for my first ride. I really want to ride a horse again because it is an amazing experience! My 5-year-old daughter was also able to ride a horse easily with the help of the guides. The horseback riding adventure also goes by out of Africa where you can see African animals while you're riding. This makes part of the adventure a unique experience that you cannot find anywhere else.

My favorite part of this experience was going to the ranch which is located right next to out of Africa and part of the trail that we went on was right next to it so you could see some of the animals in out of Africa. The guides were awesome and funny! So horses were nice to ride and it was nice that they were accommodating to my five year old daughter who had never ridden a horse before and was a little bit nervous. This was a good day to celebrate a birthday in the family. It was nice to take the whole family with us and they had plenty of horses for his ride. I was also nice to see the little animals the baby goats and the new baby horse with the little tiny chicks before we were able to go on our horseback ride. The trail was beautiful and also had a good view of the mountains there and of different areas of Arizona that you could see from the trail.

John was our guide and took us way up in the hills and all around! Breathtaking scenery, and great geographical history while on the trail! History we would never know from any other source! Beautiful facility made us feel as though we were in the “Old West”. Beautiful horses everywhere and so well cared for! Loved loved loved this adventure!
