Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

Had a great experience with my friends at wild western horseback adventures. Our guid was very friendly and made sure he gave us all the basic knowledge we would need to go out on our ride. The horses were so well behaved. We saw a longhorn and a few cows on our ride. Overall great experience and recommend to anyone who is in or near the Camp Verde area

We went with some friends on a valentines ride on the 1.5 hour tour - first the route - you go under the 260 then a loop just outside Out of Arica - they say you can see animals but you really cannot see anything except the zip line and hear the commentary from the mog tour - after that you return the way you came and then for the last half hour turn left at the gate and ride around a rough area like a construction site with truck and barbed wire where they are building a rodeo arena. Our guide seemed tired and going through the motions - we had 6 on our tour and none of us could hear the guide except maybe the first person - the guide did not stop to allow us to take pictures of the scenery or the horses or our friends - he was just waiting to finish the last ride of the day. Would I go again? NO - there are far better tours out there.
