Scenic Horseback Adventure

Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

My wife had never ridden before but I had a little experience. John was our guide and was perfect. He led my wife's horse until she was ready to try on her own. First ride of the day was good - not too hot and no other riders. John explained the area and history. He also took pictures for us. He was very patient with us. Overall, a great experience.

We went on a sunset horseback riding adventure. Our guide acted as if he had been drinking. We couldn’t understand a word he said during the ride. We walked the emoted one and a half hours in a straight line of horses. They never offered to take our pictures so we asked at the end but it was nearly dark by then. They should at least take a picture when first getting in the horses so people have a picture of their adventure. Either with our own camera or theirs and post on a website like other companies do. We have been on many horseback trips before in other places and this one could use some help. Tour guide needs to be louder more inclusive and more fun.

Everyone was GREAT! Will definitely return for another ride, it was me and my boyfriend’s first time on a horse and the instructors we’re very knowledgeable! Will definitely return in the future!
