Overview

Get acquainted with Seattle's historic waterfront from the water side of the wharf on this fully narrated cruise of Elliott Bay and Seattle Harbor. This cruise follows the shoreline and provides up-close views of the piers, ports and area attractions. There are plenty of interesting features around the bay: the Port of Seattle (one of the busiest ports in the United States), Colman Dock (the main dock of the largest ferry system in the US), and Pier 90 (home of the region's cruise ship business), Alki Beach (major local summertime hangout), the Space Needle, the famous Hotel Edgewater, the Great Wheel and the Seattle Aquarium. Last but not least, enjoy tremendous views of the natural beauty that surrounds Seattle. The majestic Olympic Mountains lie to the west, solitary Mount Rainier to the southeast, and the inviting Cascade Range to the east.

We took this tour as part of our City Pass. It was a somewhat sunny day and the views were great. The narrator had lots of wonderful information to pass along about Seattle and the surrounding areas. We even learned about the cargo coming in and out of the port. We sat on the right side of the boat and that seems like the best side.

We took the harbor tour as part of the CityPass (which I would recommend). The best views are from the right side of the boat as you're facing the front. It was raining the day we were there; otherwise we would have sat on the top floor. We sat on the second floor.

My wife and I did this tour as part of our City pass which is a great value by the way. We were blessed with great weather, views were spectacular and the tour host/guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the area. Nice way to spend an hour.
