Good tour guide (Darren), he told us some really good information, history, and personal stories as well as showing us the natural and added features in the area. Also did a good job helping with photos and letting us take our time to enjoy the waterfall.
The tour operator however was not my favorite and probably not use them again, they don't provide dry bags and it was a little hard for me to find them at the meetup while other groups were already departed. They were mostly concerned with getting their money and the waiver signed, nothing more. Most of their equipment was good but some better than others so watch out what you grab before you go.
Probably after doing this tour if you're a good paddler you could just rent your own kayak or paddleboard yourself to do this trip again.

It appears Brian had a great time with Darren, however he had some issues that we would like to clarify to help future adventure seekers.
1. Bag policy - Since the pandemic we altered our bag use to encourage guests to bring their own, primarily it was to help limit the spread of covid-19. We have since adopted this practice as company policy. Waterproof bags are available for a $35 purchase, which are valuable asset for anyone vacationing on Kauai and doing multiple outdoor activities.
2. Parking, we have a reserved parking area adjacent to the State park. Itās important that we remain good neighbors and not take up any public parking. Directions are given upon booking with Viator, given once again by email and again for good measure via text.
3. Funds or money priority - we have not yet received any funds for operating this tour with Brian and it will likely take 30 days. Yes it is important for our business to survive but not an immediate priority.
4. Waivers signed are important and required for any guest to participate. It protects both the guests and the company.
5. Equipment - all of our equipment are used everyday so wear and tear will occur. However, all equipment are inspected, cleaned and maintained or replaced as needed.
6. Kayak rentals - going on your own kayaks are encouraged and available but limited to 3 legal companies for the Wailua River. There are a maximum of 24 rental kayaks available each day. Reservations are highly recommended.
We really appreciate Brianās review as it will not only help us improve, but also to inform our future guests of what to expect.
Mahalo!
