Tours go out in rain, snow and shine. There are no cancellations or rescheduling for rain or snow within 24 hours of the start of the tour.
The tour is approximately 3.5 miles and takes about 2.5 hours. You should be in good physical shape; there is uneven terrain, unpaved trails, rocks, some steep (but short) hills on dirt and mulch, uneven stairs and potentially slippery areas. It is essential that you dress appropriately and wear suitable shoes.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Some locations may not be open or accessible depending on weather conditions and/or park closings.

My husband recently participated in the Secret Places of Central Park tour. Bruce did an extraordinary job leading the tour and showing us those areas of Central Park North we had not visited before. Without his guidance and narratives we would have never discovered and learned about the geography and history behind these "secret" places. The attached pictures will give you an idea of the areas we visited during the walking tour. Bruce is a very experienced and passionate tour guide, who truly impressed us with the his level of knowledge of New York history and particularly of Central Park. He kept the group very engaged with his narratives, which were graciously complemented by the printed materials he brought along to share with the tour participants. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York who want to experience Central Park in a unique, educational and fun way. We are New Yorker's and we thought we knew Central Park but this tour really did take us to some secret (and wonderful) places. Our tour guide, Bruce, was great. He was fun yet very professional and he knows his subject, he is very passion! The pace was perfect. We highly recommend this tour for everyone (young and old). Our group was mixed age and everyone had a wonderful time. Thanks to Bruce!!

My friend and I really enjoyed the 2.5 hour tour of Central Park from 100th-110th Streets. The tour meandered through paths that I had never explored revealing hidden gems dating from the Revolutionary War, beautiful gardens and vistas. Bruce, our guide was excellent, and provided interesting background information of how the park was constructed, how the plan was chosen and why it was developed to be the “People’s Park”. I would highly recommend this tour.
