What To Expect

Coastal Discovery Museum

Our most popular Eco-Tour. Ride through open meadows, live oak-forest, explore the salt marsh and hear the history of the 70 acre, former cotton plantation. When done, enjoy the Coastal Discovery Museum. Eco Tours are stop and go, narrated tours mixing fun with a little new knowledge. Great for younger children, families and those who want a slower-paced activity. Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed the tour. A very educational and fun experience on a high-end Segway (fat tire for off-road, not the slim paved-road version). Mary, our tour guide, was an outstanding professional with a big heart and patience. She Airdropped the photos and videos to my wife's iPhone (the rest of us had Android phones). But my wife's phone ran out of memory for the videos. It took a couple of days after the tour, but Mary followed through on her promise to send the big files through emails. Strongly recommended.

The Segway riding was so much fun and easier than we expected. Mary was a knowledgeable tour guide and shared many interesting facts about the history of HHI and the nature that abounds here.

What a great activity! Our group was guided by Chris, a friendly soft spoken raft of local knowledge who gave us all confidence in our new found skill allowing us to simply enjoy the experience. I can not recommend these guys highly enough. If your visiting Hilton Head Island and you don't try this out you will kick yourself. Thankyou for 90 minutes of tremendous fun. We are definitely going to try another of the tours available. In short BRILLIANT!
