We opted for the package where you get kayaks, dry bags, lunch, snorkel gear, etc. It’s a great deal. We also did the beach cleanup beforehand for a discount. There’s a ton of micro plastics on the beach, so it’s a great option to keep the beaches clean and get a discount on your booking! We kayaked to flat island and saw some crabs/birds nesting. Since she cut our kayak trip short, we had our included lunch and grabbed some beach chairs to chill at the beach. We had options of renting out bikes, chairs, and other gear.

We enjoyed our time together as a family. It was quite windy the day we went out so we didn’t try to paddle over to the Mokes. We had varied experience levels and only one of us would’ve been able to make it out there. We would’ve liked to spend more time out. Obviously there’s nothing the business can do about weather. Oh, they said we could paddle the canal if we wanted. We didn’t. Tip: if the crew down at the beach offer help launching, take it, unless you’re a kayaking pro. It was quite comical how many refused, insisting they “got it”, when they clearly didn’t. Lower your pride, bruh. We did beach cleanup beforehand, which we enjoyed. Tip: if you’re doing beach clean up, you’ll find very little garbage because they keep it quiet clean. But the grassy area you have to walk through to get to the beach is on definite need of a little TLC so I’d start there. I can’t really give a shout out to any one person because everyone in and around the shop was kinda meh. Not necessarily happy nor upset. Just, there. There were a couple college-age individuals that seemed a bit more upbeat amongst each other but not really towards any of the guests. Oh. The two guys that helped us launch were cool - they listen to Rebelution 🎶 🤙 Good vibes Would we do this again? Yeah, I think we’d pay closer attention to the weather and take a chance on a same day reservation instead of booking ahead.
