Patrick was an excellent guide, friendly and lively, telling stories and sharing lots of information about Chelsea Market, the neighborhood and of course, the Highline. We were very happy to get off the beaten path and visit a not-that-well-known part of NYC -- highly recommend everyone else to do so!
We had a real small group experience, as there were only the 2 of us...
Patrick our guide was a great companion, sharing notes and stories about the neighbourhood...but quite honnestly, I was abit disappointed on the overall content of the tour not on our guide though I mean spending time seeing/going through the Chelsea Market food stalls really does not bring much added value. We also got to have a very high level view of the High Line, but I am sure there are much more things to see and do in the district
Overall it was just at level interesting, and I am not sure I would recommend it to others
Our tour guide Liz was excellent! She was full of interesting facts, had a thorough understanding of the history of the area and knew the locations like the back of her hand. It was the perfect tour for a family of 5 who had never visited this area of New York before. Without a helpful guide like Liz I feel that we would have wandered aimlessly, missing key parts of the wonderful locations. Only criticism is that we wish it lasted longer. Grabbing breakfast on the go in Chelsea Market and lunch in Gansevoort market was a bonus! Would highly recommend, especially to those who have never visited this part of New York before.
