Witness beautiful Rocky Mountain vistas while climbing over a beautiful mountain pass to Echo Lake at 10,600 ft. Stroll around this beautiful glacial lake sitting at the base of 14,256 foot Mt. We recommend a jacket year round as the mountains are always colder than Denver. In the winter hat and gloves are recommended as well.

Access into the amphitheatre is dependent on sound check closures by performers the day of. We recommend taking our morning tour for best chances of accessing the inside of the amphitheatre itself during concert seasons.

Echo Lake Park

Travel up Squaw Pass where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Continental Divide and Rocky Mountains along this Scenic Byway. You will reach beautiful Echo Lake, a glacial lake sitting at 10,600 ft at the base of Mt. Evans. Enjoy a stroll around the lake and take in the fresh mountain air and scenery.

My wife and I were going to be in Denver for one day and were looking for a tour of the mountains that was not going to take all day - The #7 tour from the Colorado Sightseer turned out to be a perfect fit - we were able to schedule pickup at the convention center which worked out for us. The day of our tour was clear and cool and the pictures and memories we brought home with us will last a lifetime.

The 5 hour trip was great, peaceful with stunning views, excellent guide with lots of information, snacks( chips etc) and water provided. I would suggest you take your own food for lunch as too rushed in evergreen to sit and eat.
