My teenage son and I sat at the front of the boat on a very windy/choppy day. Dumb thing to do, but the crew helped us move back to the middle of the boat after we got soaked. We didn't end up seeing anything other than sea lions, but the ride was still fun. And they stamped our tickets for a free return trip, which is very nice of them to do considering it's not their fault no dolphins or whales showed up for us. We will definitely try again if we're ever in the area.

We visit Oceanside annually - 8 years running - and have taken the Oceanside Adventures tour for 4 of those years. While we have seen whales in the past, we ALWAYS see large groups of dolphins and love seeing them so close. This year we also added 2 new species of whales to our list, a Minke and - a bucket list item - 3 Blue Whales!

We were excited to go on a cruise. We found out within the first few minutes to hang on tight. It was very choppy. The wind was bad and the whole boat filled with water. So within the first 15 minutes, half of the people were soaked and freezing. We only saw sea lions as we left the harbor. The rest of the time, we hung on for dear life. And then... people started vomiting. Half of the boat was sick and everyone on the cruise was frowning and upset. I could not believe they didn't just turn around. Instead, they gave out free tickets to come another day. Nobody in our party wanted to come back. I had read reviews before booking and was disappointed that our trip was a total bust.
