5 of us went on the Oceanside Adventures trip and chose the 2:30pm trip. While it was windy and a little chilly, we wore a couple of extra layers and we were comfortable. On the water, we were fine in the sun. The boat was nice and clean. There was plenty of seating and not a bad seat on board. The staff - two guys - were friendly and helpful. They made every effort to find a whale and had lots of information about sea life during the trip. On this trip, we saw a few dolphins and several types of birds. We eventually found a whale and followed it for a while. We were not disappointed (the first trip of the day had much better luck) as we had kept our expectations pretty low. But overall it was enjoyable to be on the ocean and take it all in.

Oceanside adventures whale/dolphin watching cruise was such an incredible experience. We saw so many dolphins that swam right alongside and in front of us. We also were fortunate enough to see two whales. The staff was incredible and even let us stay out on the water for an extra thirty minutes since we saw the whales toward the end of the tour. I highly recommend Oceanside Adventures.

Everything was quite nice. The boat was clean, crew was pleasant, the captain soft spoken. We went March 11th, 2017. Whale watching off of the coast of California is not that difficult, we are in peak season. The whales migrate in 60 to 90 feet of water, you just get out there and hopefully they come by. And they did. Two grey whales, multiple dolphins, lots of pelicans, we loved it.
