We took our kids on this 2 hour tour and we saw a whale that swam around the boat and gave us our own private show. Well worth the money. The only negative is the captain gave a huge long Covid speech in the beginning where he threatened everyone on the boat that if anyone was caught with their mask off he would turn the boat around and cancel the whole trip. He said “this is your one and only warning”. The speech was really harsh. I get we need to wear our masks but there is a much better way to ask people to wear a mask. Politeness goes along way. Other than that it was a great experience.

Thank you for joining us and we are happy you had a great experience. The safety of our passengers and crew is our number one priority and we do require masks be put on before boarding the boat and remain on throughout the trip, they cannot be taken off once you board the boat. On a more positive note, you witnessed one of the most amazing Minke whale encounters we have had, that was truly spectacular!

The hosts and boat was super nice. We chased a whale so there wasn’t dolphin sightings. On our way back we did see a small pod but they sped past since we were cutting it close to time. That was a HUGE bummer because the kids really wanted to see dolphins. May come back if we come to CA again so they can hopefully get more than 1 whale sighting in 2 hours.

I thought it was a great experience I’m going to do it again going out there sailing right next to the whales was a very pleasant and soothing experience
