This walking tour takes you to three handpicked bars/restaurant establishments both on and near Shem Creek where you are provided not only top notch views but also the historic background of the area all the way back to its Native American roots. Sample light, tasty appetizers along the way provided complimentary as part of the tour and have the opportunity to purchase some fine Southern cocktails and a variety of beverages all while listening to local history and tales of the area from a licensed guide.

Charleston Historic Tours

This public boardwalk provides absolutely beautiful views of Historic Shem Creek and the Shrimp Boats along the creek. It also provides a pathway that connects several of the bars and restaurants.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I learned about Charleston and Shem Creek history. Bryan was a great host and has so much knowledge about Charleston history and has a true passion for what he does. He was very engaging and included everyone in the conversation, and made sure we were all taken care of and happy with our drink orders and appetizers. It was nice to taste food I normally wouldn’t order, like the fried green tomatoes at Vickery’s. They were amazing! We all had a great day and I’d definitely recommend this tour!

Bryan was absolutely the best tour I’ve ever had. We went for my bachelorette party and we were there 3 days. This tour was the highlight of the trip for us. The appetizers were SO good, and every drink I had was SO good. We even went back to a bar that was went to during the tour, after the tour was over. I plan to travel back to Mt. Pleasant and will ABSOLUTELY be using Brian for another tour. Jump on this tour, you will NOT be disappointed!!

The overall tour is great. Bryan, is a wonderful tour guide. The appetizers picked and drink recommendations at each stop were delicious. Bryan history knowledge of Shem Creek was impressive and interesting. I would highly recommed this tour, and I hope to do other tours that are given by Bryan's company.
