Being the driver for our week, it was a nice break having Matt do the driving for the day of sightseeing! His knowledge of the area sure made the experience! Being around the Catskill and Adirondack Mountains all my life, the Smokies are beautiful. Dinner at the Hillbilly Restaurant was delicious and included in your ticket! They even gave out bottles of water at check in before tour began. This is a must see. Thinking young kids might get bored during the day looking at mountain range most of the day tho.

Our guide, Matt, was very personable and knowledgeable. We had a relaxing and enjoyable day seeing the sights and learning the history of the people and the area. I booked our tours directly via phone with TMT. The booking process was efficient, local staff was able to answer several questions about the area. TNT gets 2 thumbs up! Looking forward to joining them again later this week.

Our tour guide Matt was great. He knew lots of interesting facts and gave us helpful tips. Our trip consisted of me and my son and 6 non native English speakers. Matt was very respectful, patient and engaging to all. I’m glad we did this early in our trip. One thing to note is bring warm clothing, I had to buy pants at a stop on the way, it would be helpful if the check in person mentioned it- the mountain is much colder than Pigeon Forge. The day we went the trees on the mountains had frost. My son had trouble getting to the bathroom. He stayed in the van. Also if if you book on Monday, lunchis at The Hillbilly Restaurant ( can’t remember the exact name) as Elvira is closed. We drove passed Elvira on our way to Cades Cove (Matt gave us the tip of getting to Cades Cove through Townsend) and it was packed so we will try the next time.
