We were picked up promptly at our hotel by our tour guide, Sylvie. There were no other parties in our group, so it turned out to be a private tour for the 7 of us. We got a good weather for hiking -breezy in the morning, got an occasional glimpse of the sun throughout, and generally dry for the time of year. This is a hiking tour so be prepared to hike for about 5 miles to see all 10 spectacular falls of the Silver Falls park. Don’t worry about too many falls and not enough time. The pace was perfect to take many pictures of various angles of the falls. The pace was good for our group age range of 55-60 years old. We started from the North Falls and ended up via uphill stairs on the South picnic area with lunch which was thoughtful. We headed next to the wineries for the 2nd half of the tour. We visited Cubanisimo first and Eola Legacy next for tasting. Eola had the Mimosa tasting menu in addition to the Pinot Noir flight. We bought a few bottles of the Estate at Cubanisimo and wanted to go back for more. This is a great value for a small group tour. Pick-up and Drop-off at our hotel was very helpful. We recommend our tour guide, Sylvie. She kept us on schedule, and we appreciate the lovely conversations with her throughout the tour.

It would have been better if the guide was more knowledgeable about the area and the trails. It was also listed as including 2 wine tastings, but the 2nd one was closing when we arrived. The tour operator should plan better and make arrangements with the tasting rooms when they have tours scheduled.

Debra, I'm sorry your were disappointed in your tour. This was the guide's first time guiding this tour on his own, which is why he was still getting to know the Silver Falls area, and why you got so far behind schedule that you were only able to go to one winery. He has improved immensely over the last 6 weeks.
