Maria provided a fun and interesting tour. We learned a lot about local life and landmarks. The totem park was interesting and the walk down to the river was beautiful. The best part of the tour though was the fortress of the Bears. And the bonus at this place was the amount of bald eagles right above the fortress. And we got many great pictures of the Bears playing in the eagles flying. It was incredible! Maria was a big reason why we enjoyed the tour. I highly recommend this tour!

We totally agree! The Sitka National Park is so beautiful and it's always fun going out to the Fortress of the Bears to view them! Maria has been our top guide for many years now we have been blessed with her coming back each year to show off our little town !

We loved our scenic tour of Sitka, the Fortress of the Bears and Totem Pole Park. Our guide Bruce was very personable - sharing lots of information about Sitka, the vegetation, people and animals that live and thrive there. Loved seeing the bears up close. The staff at the Fortress brought out food for the bears which drew them really close and we were able to take some great pictures! Totem Pole Park is really beautiful and we could have spent the whole day there. We were on a cruise so our time unfortunately was limited. We definitely enjoyed our tour and would love to return to Sitka for a longer stay!

Our tour guide, Lindsay, was very Friendly and gave us great tour of Sitka highlights as well as the tour to the Sitka National Historic Park and the Fortress of the Bears. We were disappointed not to spend more time viewing all the totem poles in the park, but really enjoyed seeing the black and brown bears at the bear rescue/ sanctuary. We could have taken public transportation to these spots but tour was convenient and informative.

Hello Marguerite, Thank you so much for your review! Reviews help allot of people to decide what to do in Sitka while they are on their cruise. We are glad you enjoyed your tour with Lindsay! We normally give you the option to stay in the park to enjoy the rest of the park or come back to town with us.It's a 10 minute walk back to the shuttle you take to your cruise ship.Sitka is so beautiful and small that would have been the way to do it to stay in the park longer. We hope you come back to Sitka some day!
