With this being our first trip to Gettysburg, this Center and Museum was one of the best resources for detailed summary of the 3 day battle and events. We loved the movie and other personal stories depicted. Great gift store also. Very reasonable admission.

Wow! So glad that we found the heritage center! We booked an auto tour and were fortunate to get Bob, a retired history teacher and Gettysburg expert! We learned so much from him and were moved by the stories and interaction that we had with him. Our kids are 13, 11, and 9 and he tailored many of the stories to spark their interest. I highly recommend the heritage center.

Thank you for the amazing review! We are always eager to help visitors with tour options - there are many, and finding the right method is key! It sounds like a private tour was exactly what you were looking for. The Licensed Battlefield Guides are a great way to learn about the battle! As with your tour, they can cater the experience to the audience. Thank you for visiting with us, and please stop back and see us again!

Very nicely laid out. Very informative. Nice multimedia displays. I particularly liked the number amount of first hand account quotations. The quality of the displays and information rivaled the national museum across town. It was handy having the auto tour and other tours starting here as well. My only negative comment is the fairly late owning time and early closing time are a bit inconvenient.

Thank you for visiting with us! We try to share facts about the battle, but more importantly, the humanity of the battle that unfolded in our small town. To read or hear first-hand accounts from people who experienced the fighting and devastation makes it more realistic and relatable. Our operating hours are typically shorter at this time of year during the week. We are a little short on staff at this time, which leads to the hours being shorter than usual. We do apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you again for visiting and for the wonderful review!
