WOW! We were just blown away by our tour of the Met with Mark Venaglia. The "skip the line" benefit is no joke - the line already stretched around the block when we arrived for our morning tour, and this alone was worth the price of our tickets. But being on Mark's tour was so much more than skipping the line! He truly brought the art and the history/politics/culture behind it to life for us. His enthusiasm was palpable and the whole group was engaged and enthralled by the stories he shared as well as the beautiful artifacts on display. I had two high school teens with me who are not easily impressed - he made a point to include them as part of the group, and even they had a great time. Mark's pre-tour logistical communications were spot on - we were all present and assembled right on the dot, and that alone is no small feat for him to accomplish with a group tour of this nature. We just loved his enthusiasm and knowledge - what a privilege to have spent a few hours seeing this beautiful art through his eyes. Thank you Mark!!

Our guide, Jonathan, was charming and engaging. Due to several parts of the museum being closed for unknown reasons, our tour seemed a bit disjointed. We went up and down on the elevator at least 3 times. There didn’t seem to be a planned flow. Ive been on Viator tours in Europe and the guides were generally artists and/or art history professionals.
