The museum highlights the history of Mardi Gras in its true birthplace in America - Mobile, Alabama. Experience royalty in a restored mansion-majestic crowns, scepters and one-of-a-kind bejeweled robes. Get a behind the mask look at the street party and floats. Youths can become a costumed rider in the Little Mystics Den. Boutique Gift shoppe. Guided tours at 9:30 am, 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. Others tours self-guided and automated via smart phone. Free Wifi.

If you want to see beads, buttons, bow, masks, costumes and everything Mardi Gras this is the perfect place. Cool gift shop too!

The tour starts with a video presentation and introduction by the tour guide. Our guide was very informative, and fun, as she talked about the history of Mardi Gras. The gowns are stunning and very detailed.
