This art museum's unique focus is on the evolution of work. Sounds boring, but it isn't. Unlike most mixed genre art museums, this one left me with more takeaways because it stayed on a main topic. I saw so many kinds of work I never think about and appreciated the industriousness of mankind. I felt humbled, glad I had never had to do some of those thing, grateful, and inspired. Exceeded expectations.

Visited the museum on a Sunday afternoon. I couldn't believe how beautiful the building was, the mosaics were, as well as the roof top garden. Even just by looking out the windows. Everything is well organized and grouped according to industries, and the Machines of Milwaukee temporary exhibit on the main floor was also incredible. What a treasure to spend time with, and for just $5 it is an amazing experience.

Our group of long time friends met for lunch in Milwaukee opted to visit this outstanding small museum as an extension to our day in town. We all were impressed by this distinctive, beautiful facility. The staff is friendly and informative as is the guide book we received. You can experience well-displayed art up close. From the floor mosaic tile art to the ceiling murals, the gorgeous stained glass and the great art depicting historic world of work, you will be impressed. The rooftop was closed but fully view-able through the wall of windows. We will return.
