-A free-flying bird aviary with a lush mangrove tunnel, flowing waters of native fish, energetic river otters, and imposing alligators are under the Aquarium’s iconic glass dome.

-The awe-inspiring 500,000-gallon panoramic Coral Reef Gallery is home to impressive sharks, giant stingrays, endangered sea turtles, toothy barracudas, and various fish species.

Admission ticket sales help educate visiting students, provide world-class care to animal ambassadors, rehabilitate rescued sea turtles, and advance scientific research to save the Florida coral reef tract. As a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Aquarium is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for maintaining high standards in animal welfare, veterinary care, conservation and education among other requirements.

The Florida Aquarium is located in the heart of Downtown Tampa in the Channel District. There are several parking options within walking distance to the Aquarium. Please visit FLaquarium.org to review additional parking options.

Jump into SeaTREK, a guided underwater walking tour for non-divers ages 10+, and set sail in Tampa Bay on the Wild Dolphin Cruise.* The Aquarium is in downtown Tampa on the free streetcar route and between 2 cruise ship terminals. Plus, easily access the Riverwalk, historic Ybor City, Sparkman Wharf, restaurants, and more! The Florida Aquarium is a non-profit organization committed to saving marine wildlife. Admission supports animal care, education initiatives, animal rescue, & the advancement of coral restoration efforts.

We came to Tampa for spring break and this was on our do list during our stay. We had a great time overall. The kids loved the aquarium, especially the 3 year old, so I highly recommend going here. There was no line but it was nice to walk right in. The prices are a bit high for drinks and snacks, but we pretty much expect that from places like this now.

Parking for the aquarium was a nightmare , this is right beside a cruise docking / Loading area . There were people everywhere trying to park and maneuver through traffic to get To the cruise ships . Make sure you have money it’s all paid parking . The aquarium was so packed it was hard to even get a look at some things . The food was Pricey , I’d advise eating before coming to the aquarium . We have been to several Aquariums and I would not say this was the best . I feel once the new attractions coming are done and in place it may be more worth the money . The pictures they took and you paid for were neat and worth the 35.00 . Nothing really stood out as amazing .

It was very nice experience, we really enjoyed it and I really liked the girl was explaining about the animals the was she was telling the story it was really good.
