-The awe-inspiring 500,000-gallon panoramic Coral Reef Gallery is home to impressive sharks, giant stingrays, endangered sea turtles, toothy barracudas, and various fish species.

Admission ticket sales help educate visiting students, provide world-class care to animal ambassadors, rehabilitate rescued sea turtles, and advance scientific research to save the Florida coral reef tract. As a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Aquarium is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for maintaining high standards in animal welfare, veterinary care, conservation and education among other requirements.

The Florida Aquarium is located in the heart of Downtown Tampa in the Channel District. There are several parking options within walking distance to the Aquarium. Please visit FLaquarium.org to review additional parking options.

Jump into SeaTREK, a guided underwater walking tour for non-divers ages 10+, and set sail in Tampa Bay on the Wild Dolphin Cruise.* The Aquarium is in downtown Tampa on the free streetcar route and between 2 cruise ship terminals. Plus, easily access the Riverwalk, historic Ybor City, Sparkman Wharf, restaurants, and more! The Florida Aquarium is a non-profit organization committed to saving marine wildlife. Admission supports animal care, education initiatives, animal rescue, & the advancement of coral restoration efforts.

Since I'm from the West Coast, it was good to see different animals and marine life. Parking was a breeze and affordable (we paid once and took the free trolley around downtown Tampa). There was an odor of spoiled tuna sandwich near the first display upstairs. It was pretty bad. Fortunately, it got better as we moved further along. My kids especially enjoyed the alligators and gar (we don't have those in SoCal). The biggest disappointment was the penguin display. There were only 2 of them in a very small enclosure. My son, whose favorite animal is the penguin, was disappointed as well. Because we got the tickets through Trip Advisor, we were able to save almost $12 for a family of four.

I was so disappointed in this place, especially the penguin exhibit it used to be so much bigger as I remember and now all you get 3 or 4 penguins in a small box. I would of been better going to Lowry zoo with grandbaby visiting from Georgia. And the hassle of parking and getting to it is ridiculous.

I truly enjoyed the aquarium. Parking was easy, the staff was helpful and friendly. The exhibits were quality and the price for admission was reasonable. Most of all, I reallocated enjoyed the small children’s reactions to some of the exhibits. They were so cute. Overall, a great experience!
