Overview

Get to know the dogs of Susitna Sled Dog Adventures! Join us in the dog yard and enjoy some fun with a lively group of sled dogs as they run around the fenced in yard. Explore the world of sled dogs, learn what it takes to compete in races, and understand why these incredible animals thrive in this unique role. We'll tell you stories about the dogs and share adventures from the trails. After some playtime in the yard, we'll dress up a dog in a harness, show you the sled, and talk about the winter gear we use. If we have any puppies, we'll end the visit cuddling with the next generation of athletes.

This is a great activity for dog lovers who want to learn about sled dogs, and more importantly, get a dose of dog therapy.

This tour really was one of our highlights as Alyssa and Rhon really did a lot to make the day special. Due to weather, our flightseeing was canceled and they really helped to make up for the flight let down. They really are wonderful people and so willing to teach everything they know about their huskys, mushing, and the Alaskan lifestyle. Really a fun trip with them and we can't say enough amazing words to describe how special it was to hang with the dogs and learn so much.

What an amazing day! We spent a couple of the most relaxing hours of our trip with Alyssa, Rohn and their amazing family of huskies. Loved learning about the dogs while petting them and get lots of licks. Enjoyed learning about their training, races and just overall life in Alaska. Their love for their dogs and their sport is clearly obvious. Would love to return if I ever am lucky enough to be back in Alaska. Thank you for a wonderful day!
