Small Group Boat, Kayak and Walking Guided Eco Tour in Everglades National Park

Overview
This very popular eco-adventure and combines the best of a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in a single great learning experience. Depending on the season, you can encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, roseate spoonbills and/or numerous species of fish and shore birds. A very comfortable transport boat will bring you deep into Everglades National Park with your Florida Master Naturalist guide. Once at the first destination, the tour slows down using very stable, comfortable kayaks to get you close to the flora and fauna. Imagine paddling next to a manatee or a dolphin! (No previous kayaking experience is required and there are single and two-person kayaks on every tour). Continue your interpretive experience with a walking tour on remote, pristine barrier island beach … a beach that is seldom visited by others.

Jenn was a brilliant guide! Our tour took us about 2 hours. Lots of birds, alligators and unforgettable nature around us! We even went into a mangrove tunnel! I absolutely recommend it! Thanks again, Jenn!

We spent the morning with Don. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind and honestly, just a very sweet person. This is a person with so much love for his area and a passion for all the wildlife and history of this beautiful and undisturbed wilderness. Please please book with these guys if you want to see any wildlife rather than the noisy airboat rides that simply could never get close to the dolphins, birds and other animals that Don can show you. Airboat are just another fairground ride rather than anything that is a real tour of the everglades. My 12 year old son loved the morning we spent on the boat, kayaking and walking on one of the mangrove islands learning about the native americans that used to live there. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Thank you for such a kind review of your Boat Assisted Kayak Eco Tour with Captain Don. We are so glad both of you enjoyed your time with Don and we can't agree more he is an amazing guide.

Captain Dan was very nice, very informative, and very accommodating of less confident kayakers. The beach walk - hearing all about the different flora and fauna - showed a side of the Everglades that was really interesting. And then there were the hidden alcoves and lakes to explore. The soothing sound of the Everglades was magical. Can’t go wrong with this tour.
