It was a really hot day, I even thought about canceling due to extreme heat and conditions (110 degrees). I was so happy to have an early option as the start time. The river was cold and AMAZING. Even though the terrain was similar throughout, you never got sick of taking in the stark beauty. The breeze off of the river made it doable, but so did a hat filled with water over the head every now and then! Our leader Edgar was very nice and he tried to make conversation with every couple on the trip. He took us to some good swimming holes and had quality explanations for any questions that were asked. My son and I had a great time! Thank you for the adventure! Side note - we never saw any desert Big Horn Sheep along the river, but we did finally see them next to the marina! Keep a lookout:)

Thank you very much for your review. I’m glad you and your family had a great day on the river with us. We launch at 9 am purposely to avoid the crowds of the late afternoon and also the heat. I’m glad you got to see the bighorn sheep but no wildlife sightings can be guaranteed as they are wild and animals after all. Brett @ Veteran Kayaks.
