What To Expect
1
Route 66
After departing the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.
2
Williams Depot
Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.
3
Grand Canyon South Rim
You’ll experience approximately three hours within the National Park marveling at the beauty that is the Grand Canyon. You will be driven to viewpoints as well as have free time to walk to various viewpoints and points of interest. Visit the historic El Tovar Lodge, Hopi House, Mather Point or Yavapai Point, the Geology Museum and more incredible viewpoints! While at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, you will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, capture an unlimited number of photographs, or enjoy lunch (own expense) and relax with the best seat in the house.

Mark was an excellent guide! We toured the spectacular red rocks of Sedona then went to the wonderful Grand Canyon. I’d totally do it again and highly recommend it!

We had never been to the Grand Canyon and thought this tour would be the way to go. Neither one of us had to drive and we could take in the spectacular scenery along the way. Our tour guide was Cam and he did not disappoint. He was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned so many things. He was also very fun and provided a great experience. We were picked up at our hotel about 6:30 am and returned about 7:30 pm. We made stops along the way and back in Sedona for sightseeing and shopping and Williams to explore Route 66 a bit. We were given plenty of time to explore the Grand Canyon. Lunch was provided and it was so good! We were able to enjoy it while sitting on the rim of the Grand Canyon. It was a really fun day and would definitely recommend anyone to take in this tour.

My 18 yr old daughter and I did this trip together. It did not disappoint and was worth every penny. We could relax and enjoy the breath taking scenery in the comfortable small setting. We started early in Phoenix (6:00am) so we watched the sunrise as we made our way out of the city and up to Sedona. We spent half an hour in the streets of Sedona, taking in the views and buying souvenirs. We then drove through the back way up to the Colorada Plateau, which was absolutely stunning. Our guide George had some travel friendly music on, which set the scene perfectly and couldn’t have been better. And honestly, nothing can prepare you for the breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon. Our guide drove us to three spots on the south rim, and each one had its own purpose. We also had our preordered fresh lunch at the Canyon, it was perfect! We went to the Geology museum for a few minutes and the Hopi House and Bright Angel Trail. We left the Canyon around 3:30 and stopped at Route 66 in Williams for half an hour. On our way back to Phoenix, we watched a movie and it was perfect for some down time and were back in Phoenix by 8:15. Highly recommend everything! Such a great day! PS. Drink lots of water otherwise your teenager might get altitude sickness. She did, but it was quickly over!
