This tour is in no way a comprehensive tour of the Grand Canyon. Itā€™s a taste of the natural wonder. We started with an 8:35 pickup at our hotel in Flagstaff by the infamous J.R. No joke he talked nonstop for the entire tour. That may sound like a put off but he is a master storyteller. Whether he was giving you geology information in the most direct and easy way to understand about how this part of Arizona developed (make sure you ask how the Grand Canyon relates to Lambeau Field) to his life in Sedona as a young man driving the Hollywood crowd, he is entertaining and extremely informative. Even though the main attraction is the canyon, this tour includes quick stops at Sunset Crater National Monument, Wupatki National Monument and lunch in The Navajo Nation for a Navajo Taco (so good!) and shopping. These side stops were all great and Iā€™m not sure without the tour we would have gone to these sites, so we were very happy these were included. We will probably go back and hike in Wupatki. We stopped at 3 areas for canyon views. Luckily we came in the quieter entrance so the first 2 stops were not busy and J.R. showed us short side trails to take to get some great views - no other people around but our small group. The last stop is near a popular hiking trail and the village - tons of people but we had a chance to hike the trail for 20-30 minutes. Again this is quick glimpses of the canyon but we had one day and for us it took all the stress out of trying to figure out how to approach one day in the area not to mention the explanations that gave meaning to what we were looking at whether it be Hopi or Navajo culture or the geology of the area. It was a great trip!

My wife and I truly enjoyed the tour. Only eight people, including us, were in the tour. Our guide, Rick Lee, was friendly and knowledgeable. We entered Grand Canyon National Park through the East entrance and bypassed the crowds of people who enter near the Visitor Center and the West entrance.

It was fantastic! Gail was our tour driver. She had a wealth of knowledge for all the areas visited. Plus some bonus information of lesser know stuff about the sites. It was an excellent tour!
