Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

Most amazing time ❤️ would highly recommend .. the guide was very informative and accommodating .. they even waited on us to arrive since we had Uber trouble

I booked this experience in 2020 and then had to cancel due to Covid. I re-booked when I resurrected my trip in April 2021 (didn't have the option to select that far back - sorry for the delay). I was worried about never having kayaked before, being a solo traveler, and not having a car. I had a wonderful experience - communication before the day and before we set out was excellent (I had some questions). Brian was a great guide. I felt very comfortable with this adventure in the Shell Key Preserve. Brian did a great job in helping us learn about the area and keep us paddling. I planned this as a break between museums and beach - was a wonderful addition and a great opportunity to get out and try/do something different - would highly recommend.

We had an amazing, relaxing paddle! Spencer, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job at staying at a pace where everyone in our group could keep up. Went through some tunnels, saw a shark, a couple dolphins and an array of birds. The cormorants that swam along with us were pretty cool! Would definitely go again!
