Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

Awesome trip! Spencer is so knowledgeable about the wildlife and the local ecology. He guided us through mangrove tunnels and always made sure of our safety. He then led us to shell island where we could explore more. On our journey we saw so many fish jumping out of the water! So cool! We debated renting kayaks and going on our own or taking a guided trip. So glad we chose the guided trip! We learned so much! If in doubt be sure to take a guided trip with this company! You won’t regret it!

This is our third time in four years going out to kayak with these folks. Terrific equipment, exceptional guides and each time we did a slightly different route to get to Shell Key. But the trip always included a paddle through a mangrove tunnel. Relaxing, fun and informative! Highly recommend!
