Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

We are avid kayakers and love to go out on the water when we travel. Our trip to Shell Key was one of the best we have done! Our guide, Ross was terrific and shared history and interesting tidbits during the tour. We had some kayak novices on the tour and Ross did a great job getting them comfortable! The mangrove tunnels were cool and other-wordly and Shell Key was a great place to pick up a few shell souvenirs. We wrapped up in time to see a lovely sunset!! I highly recommend this tour, whether you are an experienced kayaker or not! So fun!

We enjoyed the afternoon with our older teens paddling around Shell Key preserve. Saw lots of wildlife and found some pretty shells on a beach stop. Lovely mangrove canals. Fun trip!
