Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

Knowledgeable and fun guide and beautiful scenery. Easy to book and nice owner, who seemed genuinely concerned his guests had a good experience. Spencer, our guide, also seemed happy to be out on the water and to show us the beautiful preserve. Great adventure, but not too strenuous- lots of time to absorb the surroundings, which varied from mangrove tunnels to a beach to large open bays.

Great day on the water with Spencer! Nice trip through the mangroves over to Shell Island. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took time to point out lots of interesting wildlife. Will definitely kayak with these guys again!

Had a great time kayaking with Coastal Kayak Charters. Spencer was a very knowledgeable guide and he had a great sense of humor. We found some great sea shells on Shell Key. The best part was having 2 dolphins swim around us for quite a while. It was awesome!
