Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

This is a must do! Awesome tour which included kayaking through several mangrove passage ways. Highlight was time spent on beautiful Shell Island. Our guide Brian was a combination of knowledgeable and humorous which made the tour a lot of fun. Can’t wait to come back and do the tour again!

Was an awesome tour! Had a great time. Relaxing, beautiful day with the family. Kayaking thru the mangroves was a treat, little different from the Rivers in Kentucky. Our Tour guide Spencer was also awesome. He knew about all the birds, the mangroves and it's history. He was super nice gentleman. I would suggest taking a few bottled waters and maybe a shell bag, to collect shells on Shell Key Island. Wear some kind of shoe on the island due to all the shells you will walk on. Our family went in early April on the Shell Key Preserve kayak tour. It was absolutely great! Our tour guide Kim was amazing!! She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us extra time in the mangroves. She really went above and beyond! The staff were all personable and caring as well. We had a wonderful time and plan on going again soon!
