Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

Still one of the best kayaking tours we have been on. You actually get good paddling time which is not true with all tour companies. Small groups awesome guides!

Our group of 7 had such a wonderful time kayaking on the Shell Key Preserve! Spencer was our guide and he was great! He had lots of knowledge about the species (birds/snails/crabs) and habitat. We loved getting out of the kayaks to explore the island/beach and going through the mangrove tunnels was a very unique and fun experience. We had a blast!!

Such a great trip! Great guides, great kayaks and unforgettable scenery. We were even accompanied by incredibly cute birds (Comorants) swimming next to our boats while they hunted and caught their lunch. A memorable outing for kayakers and non-kayakers alike.
