Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

The group was the right size, the kayaks, paddles and life vests were high quality and the tour guide was phenomenal!! The description of the tour on the website is exact. We paddles through a mangrove tunnel which was really fun. There was some wind but the tour guide did a good job of modifying the route to mitigate that as much as possible. That part of FL is so pretty and full of wildlife. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area, history and wildlife which enriched the entire experience. We went on a Wednesday so didn't encounter any other kayakers and very few boats. We had one inexperienced paddler and although the last 10 minutes were perhaps a bit tiring, she had a great time and can't wait to kayak again. I highly recommend this company and this tour.

This was a great experience! Six of us enjoyed a three hour tour with Spencer as our guide. We had two individual kayaks and two doubles -- which worked out great! Spencer was professional and offered great information about the area. He also let us set the pace and provided a few options as far as mangrove tunnels and routes. In addition, Spencer shared photos after the tour he took of us in our kayaks (so we didn't have to worry about snapping pictures, etc.) and we could just enjoy the peace and beauty of the area. Definitely would recommend!

This was our second guided trip with Coastal Kayak. Family of 4 with teen and pre-teen. Another great experience. Brian, our guide, was the best! Great sense of humor that had kids and adults chuckling. The Shell Key tour is a beautiful kayak trip. I would recommend any of their tours -- all guides are great and Ross and Doug are very responsive to any questions or concerns you have. Book with them, you won't regret it!
