Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

This trip was a highlight of my stay in the area because of going to Shell Key and spending 3 hours on the water (and the key!). The route was organized nicely where we went through Mangrove tunnels three times, kayaked in open water and wandered around Shell Key. The guide was very friendly, informative, and kind. A great experience.

I would definitely recommend these guys! Our guide was so informative and easy going and let us go at our own pace. We went from an open Bay Area to a tunnel through the Mangroves and then onto Shell Key Beach. Once there we had about 45 minutes to cool off in the water and do some shell hunting. Next time I’m here with my Family, I’m going through these guys again! Such a beautiful area!
