Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

Doug was awesome!! Great instruction and great equipment. As a first type kayaker I felt totally comfortable the whole time. Doug was funny and knew a lot about the wild life and he laughed and joked with us all the whole time. I am so glad we went. Doug even took pictures and texted them to us. Thanks Doug! It was awesome!!

These guys are fun! We enjoyed the trip to shell key and finding a lot of Sand dollars! Nice balance of kayaking and beach walking!

Ross and his team are AWESOME!! What an amazing experience! My group was with Doug, and he was absolutely excellent! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about the whole preserve; you can tell that everyone there loves their jobs so much. The pace was easy, even for beginners. The staff took time to make sure everyone was comfortable with the kayaks and gave proper instruction on how to maneuver with the doubles as well. They also offered us dry bags to put our stuff in that we wanted to take with us. Easy pace, and a lot of stops to hear about the wonders of the preserve and to check out some of the wildlife! The area is pretty protected against the elements, and it is also absolutely stunning to be out their on the water in between the mangrove islands. Cormorants were jumping and swimming all around us, it was such an awesome experience. So much better and more educational than I expected. Doug was so excited to share the stories and history of the preserve. He was so happy and helpful and personable, super funny and truly a joy to be around. Such a great and non-invasive way to experience our beautiful world. I'm from Boston and I have been talking about the trip non-stop. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone who wants a fun, relaxing and educational day on the water. Ross and his team provide a superb experience. Thanks guys!
