Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

What's Included

All Equipment, Instruction & Dry Bags. Primarily Double Kayaks, singles available through website.

**Weight Limit** 250lbs per seat | 450lbs combined for double kayaks.

*Ages 3+ | 3-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult or older child.

*Please arrive to launch site 30min early, there are no public facilities available at site.

This is a top-notch small business. Quality equipment, experienced guides, safety precautions. Our guide Doug was terrific. Very knowledgeable about the environment, birds, beach and shoreline mangroves. He had a wonderful sense of humor as well. Highly recommend!

Doug and Ross are true St. Pete legends. They are knowledgeable on just about every subject in the area. You will hear great stories, laugh a ton, and gain a perspective on the mangroves most will never get. I have gone through the tour three times and something new happens every time. We had a couple of dolphins come up to our Kayaks on the most recent tour. If you are looking for some outdoor fun one morning on your trip to St. Pete, Coastal Kayaks is the way to go.

We were first time kayak adventurers. Doug was our guide. He was very informative, and extremely knowledgeable. It was such a cool tour, going through the mangrove tunnels. The Shell Key Preserve was spectacular. We all had a phenomenal experience.
