On a whim, my husband and I signed up for this tour just one day in advance. What a treat! On a lovely day, we were picked up by Max, co-owner (with his son) of this business. Friendly man with a lifelong love and deep knowledge of this region's history, flora and fauna. We kayaked out (no previous kayaking experience necessary) from a roadside beach and entered a magical world of cypress trees, turtles and birds. For a couple of hours, we learned about swamps and bayous and New Orleans history, gliding along serene water. Do bring sunscreen and/or a hat and a water bottle and wear clothes that you don't mind getting damp. The tour itself is 2-3 hours but leave yourself more time for the travel to and from the swamp. This trip is suitable for anyone but very young children. We highly recommend this tour.

Great tour, informative host, beautiful scenery, gorgeous weather. We didn't see any gators or snakes - that would have been a bonus - but we certainly learned a lot about a part of the country we had never seen before. Would recommend it to anyone who can paddle a kayak.

Awesome family but not kids or teens. Do not have the choice below to list family/adults. So I have to put couple, since they shared a kayak, but they are brothers. They came back happy and elated, feeling it was a great little workout and had beautiful sights, felt close to nature. They now plan to kayak other places, and I want to go on a photoshoot tour with my daughter.
