A local Louisiana naturalist guides you through the historic Manchac Swamp explaining historic information and the native ecosystem. Please note that pickup times are 9AM and 12PM, one hour before the tour begins. Please read ticket after booking.

We were taken to a beautiful spot and didn’t even run into other kayakers, so we had the nature all to ourselves. Saw plenty of wildlife. Max was the guide, and he was perfect. Friendly, informative, fun to listen to!!! Highly recommend. I would choose this over other kayak options, or a tour boat.

This review is on behalf of my dad and grandpa, who don't have TripAdvisor accounts but were adamant that a good review be left for Wild Louisana. Both of them agreed that it was probably the best part of their trip to New Orleans. Max was incredibly knowledgeable and really knew his stuff, in fact, my grandpa said that he was one of the best guides he's ever had. Neither my dad nor grandpa had been in that kind of swamp environment before, so they were absolutely fascinated. Plus, the physical aspect and adventure that kayaks provide was also a plus. I think they enjoyed it more than the boat swamp tour we took later on.

This 5-hour sunrise swamp/bayou photo tour far exceeded our expectation. It was me and my 14 year old son, who loves photography. We took a small but heavy-duty boat with captain Norman and our awesome guide, Josh. The scenery was phenomenal and we got to explore the banks of Lake Maureapas to take pictures and fly our drone. I highly recommend this trip for people who want to go a little deeper than then the 2-hour kayak tour (which I’m sure is great also).
