We took our kayak tour through the swamp on Saturday afternoon and it was AWESOME! Max was our guide and he led us through the swamp for a few miles. The whole trip took a couple hours and it was well worth it. We saw a bunch of different birds including blue herring, barn owls, woodpeckers and even a bald eagle! It was a little chilly for the gators but we still had fun time. Max was super knowledgeable about everything from the swamp to where to eat downtown. We even took one of his suggestions for dinner and went to Lukes, which was awesome. I would absolutely do this again with this company! All of the equipment was in perfect shape and well maintained and the guides definitely know their stuff!

This was a great tour. The bayou is a unique environment and cruising through silently on kayaks is a great way to experience it. Our tour was led by Max, who was one of the most charming & knowledgeable guides we've ever had. It felt like we were on tour with a friend. Also, the man is 70 and in amazing shape! Definitely recommend this tour.

I discovered that a swamp can be airy and cool, open and refreshing, and sunny enough to get a sunburn if you aren't careful. Chris and Josh were a little late in picking us up, but it was a joy to avoid renting a car to get out of the city. They are both very low key, but willing and open to answer questions and give their opinions if asked. The double seat-on kayak that we used was very stable and easy to maneuver. The tour was very laid back, although the guys were always trying to find animal and plant wildlife to point out to us. There were water hyacinths, arrowroot, bald cypress, tupelo gum, red maple, dwarf palmetto, spanish moss, pileated woodpeckers, an eagle nest, greater egrets, and a couple alligators. Couldn't have had a better set of guides to introduce us to the Louisiana swamps.
