As a nature lover, we are always looking for opportunities to explore the natural habitat wherever we go. If you enjoy nature away from the touristy tours and you rather have the serene, unspoiled experience of exploring the swamp where the only noise is the sounds of nature and the sound of your kayak, while you enjoy the local fauna such as alligators, birds, turtles and amazing flora, then this is the tour for you! Our guide (I think his name was Max) was patient, attentive and knowledgeable. The group was small, only like 8 kayaks and that was a major plus. I did my HW and here are some differences from other kayak tours. Although it was a drive out (30 min)(they do provide transportation for a fee-we drove) as soon as we got there, we were literally able to kayak and within minutes were in natural surroundings..OTHER TOURS i read consist of a lot of paddling through canals before you get to the real deal. THIS TOUR had you enjoying nature as soon as you sat in the kayak. Also, OTHER tours share the swamp with motorized boats..THIS TOUR was in a swamp with no traffic..we were the only ones! I do recommend the early tour because when we came back there were a lot more people and other tours arriving..but regardless they were in kayaks too but were like 15 kayaks for one tour! we only had like 8 kayaks. My twins(12) loved it! Our guide shared knowledge and told us stories as well as history of the area.. the experience was awesome! By the way, their cost is the best compared to other tours..they even have pricing for kids while other tours did not.

My granddaughter and I took two tours consecutively. We first did the overnight camping tour and then did the tour of the Manchac swamp . Both tours were excellent and we saw three very different ecosystems on each day. The overnight camping was on the Atchafalaya Basin. We kayaked for about six hours each day. The scenery was beautiful and Josh was very knowledgeable.Josh and Max provided all the logistics setting up the camp cooking all the food. Their customer care was exemplary Josh was a very knowledgeable tour guide and Max was like a nonstop standup comic. The second tour of the Manchac swamps was beautiful. Max was the tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and very funny. I highly recommend both Wild Louisiana tours company and both of the tours

Went on a kayak tour with Max and it was great! His knowledge was extensive and he's so friendly. The tour was easy enough for a novice kayaker to navigate. The bayou was so scenic and lots of opportunities to see wildlife.
