Small-Group Public BYOB Sunset Boat Tour on Lake Austin

Overview

Perfect for solo travelers or small groups who don’t want to rent the entire boat themselves, this intimate cruise offers the perks of a private cruise without the associated costs. Our captain serves as a tour guide who may point out landmarks, celebrity homes, or share their own personal stories from the lake. Bring your own drinks—alcoholic beverages welcome—and a camera to capture photos of the lakeside grotto known as Little Venice.

The Lake Austin cruise takes off from the Loop 360 Boat Ramp located below the southern end of Pennybacker Bridge over Lake Austin. This three-acre park is primarily used for lake access, but offers a grassy area for picnicking. A few bald cypress and sycamore trees grow along the water's edge.

Multiple boats are used for this event, we'll do our best to accommodate special seating requests. Please let us know if you have friends booking separately that you'd like to sit with.

Pennybacker Bridge

A semi-private grotto we call Little Venice where you get a closeup view of the Lake Austin mansions.

10/10 would recommend! So gorgeous and our captain was so helpful!! From making sure the music was just right to even stopping so we could grab tacos and go pee (lol). Can’t wait to go again.

Without a doubt, this was our favorite excursion in Austin, Texas. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by our tour guide. It was a friendly atmosphere and our guide had a warm and friendly personality. He connected with and held conversation with every single passenger on board the boat. It was a young lady’s birthday and he played the “Happy Birthday” song at the end of the tour. :-) The scenery was beautiful, he was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to get everyone on board beautiful pictures in front of the bridge. Everything was perfect! He educated us with great detail on the homes and history of the area. My husband and I are well traveled and visit exotic countries, so if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing tour in Austin, Texas,THIS is it! We were not disappointed, this is our most memorable US tour!
