Small-Group Public BYOB Sunset Boat Tour on Lake Austin

Overview
Perfect for solo travelers or small groups who don’t want to rent the entire boat themselves, this intimate cruise offers the perks of a private cruise without the associated costs. Our captain serves as a tour guide who may point out landmarks, celebrity homes, or share their own personal stories from the lake. Bring your own drinks—alcoholic beverages welcome—and a camera to capture photos of the lakeside grotto known as Little Venice.

The Lake Austin cruise takes off from the Loop 360 Boat Ramp located below the southern end of Pennybacker Bridge over Lake Austin. This three-acre park is primarily used for lake access, but offers a grassy area for picnicking. A few bald cypress and sycamore trees grow along the water's edge.

Multiple boats are used for this event, we'll do our best to accommodate special seating requests. Please let us know if you have friends booking separately that you'd like to sit with.

The sunset cruise was such a great time! Captain Rob showed us all around Lake Austin. The captain let the group listen to music of our choice and some of us even got in the water. Would definitely recommend this for any occasion and will most definitely be returning.

This is the perfect way to experience one of Austin’s greatest gems: Lake Austin! Right in the heart of the city, you’re able to cruise thru beautiful hill country and check out the amazing lake front homes. And at sunset taboot! FloatOn’s captains are super knowledgeable of the area and great hosts for a nice evening cruise on the lake.

My husband and I took this tour on a Tuesday when there was little activity on the lake this gloomy day. We happened to be the only ones on the tour but our Guide, Vince provided a fun & entertaining narration of Lake Austin and the residents, homes along its shores. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to friends and family.
