Observe the endangered West Indian Manatee in Crystal River’s idyllic Kings Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Your US Coast Guard licensed captains and guides will take you into the 600 acre spring fed refuge waters for viewing and snorkeling with these slow moving wild giants. All equipment, fees, snacks and beverages are included.

What To Expect

River Ventures

Embark on your journey with a Coast Guard Certified Master Captain who will be your in water chaperon, educator and photographer. Your tour will run four hours from start to finish and everything you will need is included for one price. You will begin at our full-service tour facility, where you will be educated about the animals in a classroom type setting and receive tips for your snorkel tour to make the most of your day. You will be taught the in’s and out’s of ‘passive interaction’ as this ensures that the animals enjoy the experience as much as we do! You will then be suited up and transported to the dock, where a Coast Guard certified covered pontoon will be waiting for you. This rich estuary will amaze…..birds, fish and wildlife abound! Submerge yourself in the manatee’s world! Finish your adventure by viewing your Captain’s photos back at our facility and be sure to visit our one-of-a-kind gift shop! Our well-informed staff will direct to other local attractions, restaurants and answer of your questions before you are on your way.

It was an amazing experience with a great captain Troy, and guide Paige, both talented and kind. Swam with a baby manatee and observed mating manatees. Loved this experience!!

This was a once in a lifetime experience, although we live close enough we will definitely go back. It has been on my bucket list for years! Never found time to go, so we planned to do it soon after we retired. Hurricane Michael hit and then Covid. Then today, we finally, we made it. It did not disappoint. We took our 9 year old grandson. It was a perfect trip. Our guides were Paige and Troy and I can't say enough good things about them. Their goal was to make our experience exceed our expectations and they did. They found the manatees, and made sure everyone on the boat had a first-class experience with them. They made sure we got to go to the springs as well which was a must do!!!! The springs were awesome! Thank you to this company and our tour guides Troy and Paige.

Troy and Courtney were great! Not only were they quite knowledgeable about manatees and the Crystal River, they were helpful with my anxious sister. With their help, she was able to snorkel for the first time and come quite close to a manatee. They were successful in finding a manatee, and we all were able to get quite close to this gentle giant. Since the weather was warmer, there were less manatees in the river as they are starting to move into the Gulf waters. The boat was great. The seats were comfortable, and the drinks and snacks were plentiful. I would highly recommend this tour. We were a group of 4, and 2 sisters joined us. I like that the boat only takes 6 people, as this allows for a personalized experience. Thanks again Troy and Courtney!
