Overview

If you are new to or have never snorkeled before this is the ideal choice! Particularly good for families with younger children or swimmers who aren’t certain if they are “seaworthy” enough for one of our longer trips.

This trip is much slower-paced and affords guests time to become more familiar and comfortable with the exciting and beautiful sport of snorkeling. Our crew will be happy to help you adjust your mask, fins, and snorkel and help you become comfortable viewing the tropical fish while using a flotation assistance device we call a “noodle”. You'll even watch for dolphins and whales along the way!

The Captain and crew were very attentive to everyone's needs. Great trip, amazing history, beautiful snorkeling, and very customer focused crew. The fresh delicious pineapple and oranges after snorkeling was just a perfect treat. We also saw dolphins and one of the babies put on a show for us!! Must do tour on the big island.

The snorkeling tour was an awesome experience with Dolphin Discoveries. My friends and I decided that we wanted to snorkel 3 days before coming to the Big Island. Fortunately, they had a reservation available for the afternoon tour. Booking was easy and they even made the waiver e-signable through a link. The reservation was for 8 people so it was difficult to keep track of everyone who had signed but they did great following up and even texted and called me to make sure everyone in my party signed. The boat ride and snorkeling was the most amazing. We were greeted by Jen who helped us fit our snorkel gear and then introduced us to Bianca, our guide, and then our captain, Danielle. While on the way to the snorkeling location, we saw a pod of dolphins and ended snorkeling a little longer than planned. We even had a surprise visit from a manta ray which we stopped to observe. Bianca and Danielle were amazing and friendly. I highly recommend groups of 6 or more. Would definitely return again!

The captain and his deck hand were incredible! Professional, polite, very knowledgeable about culture as well as snorkeling. He took the time to talk to all of us, there were 9 of us on the boat, as we rode to our spot. I felt very safe with him in charge. We felt very fortunate that we booked with Dolphin! Would highly recommend!
