Snorkel Tour to Captain Cook Monument Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Overview
If you are new to or have never snorkeled before this is the ideal choice! Particularly good for families with younger children or swimmers who aren’t certain if they are “seaworthy” enough for one of our longer trips.

This trip is much slower-paced and affords guests time to become more familiar and comfortable with the exciting and beautiful sport of snorkeling. Our crew will be happy to help you adjust your mask, fins, and snorkel and help you become comfortable viewing the tropical fish while using a flotation assistance device we call a “noodle”. You'll even watch for dolphins and whales along the way!

Everything about this trip was perfect! Great captain we had whale come out to visit and lots of beautiful fish under the water at our destination. Also on the way back the captain spotted a manta and we jumped in and got to watch a couple of them for a while. PERFECT!!!

Went out with Captain Shelley and Jen. Very fun, knowledgeable. Captain Shelley spent a lot of time helping us find a cow and calf to watch.

Captain Kai took us out on a nice, blustery afternoon. On the way to the Captain Cook monument he stopped to show us various points of historical significance, as well as of general interest. The snorkeling was great, and Kai gave us enough information to keep us out of trouble with undersea life and underwater rules. The coral beds, the fish, and the general underwater views were very interesting. The sheer variety of fish was amazing. We saw a shark, but missed the big eel. Great trip!
