Snorkel Tour to Captain Cook Monument Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Overview
If you are new to or have never snorkeled before this is the ideal choice! Particularly good for families with younger children or swimmers who aren’t certain if they are “seaworthy” enough for one of our longer trips.

This trip is much slower-paced and affords guests time to become more familiar and comfortable with the exciting and beautiful sport of snorkeling. Our crew will be happy to help you adjust your mask, fins, and snorkel and help you become comfortable viewing the tropical fish while using a flotation assistance device we call a “noodle”. You'll even watch for dolphins and whales along the way!

We enjoyed the boat ride out to Kealakekua Bay. We’ve snorkeled in different places including Belize but this spot is the best we’ve ever been to. We saw a barracuda, yellow tangs and just many, many other amazing sights. The coral is beautiful and the water so clear and blue. Kudos to Amber and Landon who did the tour. Landon tried to keep the historical part as factual as possible and didn’t add assumptions or embellishments so that was nice too. We would definitely do this again!

The Captain and Tour Guide make the trip for me - they took the time to point out points of interest on the way to the bay. When we arrived, the snorkeling was excellent and there was plenty of time to explore. We even saw a couple of whales on the trip back! Great trip - I would love to go again.

Captain Heather did a great job of getting us out for our first snorkeling trip. As well as giving us great tips and advice on where to look for sea-life, she is a great steward of the environment as well, making sure that we knew the importance of what not to touch all the way down to making sure we were using the proper sun block to prevent any damage to the reefs. I would definitely come back and do another snorkeling trip with this company.
